Mobile App User Guide

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for using the Identity Co mobile application for secure authentication and identity verification.


Getting Started

Download and Install

Download the Identity Co mobile app from your device's app store:

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Search for "Identity Co"
  3. Tap Get to download and install
  4. Wait for installation to complete

Requirements: iOS 13.0 or later


Initial Setup

Register Your Account

After installing the app, follow these steps to register:

1. Launch the App

Tap the Identity Co icon on your device. The welcome screen will appear with options to register or sign in.

2. Enter Registration Code

Enter registration code

Enter the code provided by your organization

  • Enter the registration code provided by your organization
  • Tap Continue

3. Verify Your Identity

Complete identity verification

Follow the on-screen prompts to verify your identity. You may be asked to provide:

  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Government-issued ID (optional)

4. Set Up Biometrics

Fingerprint setup

Fingerprint setup (Android)

Enable Face ID, Touch ID, or Fingerprint authentication for quick and secure access to your account.

5. Complete Registration

You'll receive a confirmation message once registration is complete.

  1. Receive a push notification on your device
  2. Open the notification
  3. Review the login request details

  • Location: Where the login is coming from
  • Device: What device is requesting access
  • Time: When the request was made

Always verify the login details before approving. Deny any suspicious requests.

  1. Open the Identity Co app
  2. Tap the QR Code Scanner icon
  3. Point your camera at the QR code on screen
  4. Hold steady until the code is scanned
  5. Review and approve the authentication request

Managing Your Profile

View Profile Information

Your profile dashboard

  1. Open the Identity Co app
  2. Tap the Profile icon (bottom navigation)
  3. View your registered information:
    • Full Name
    • Email Address
    • Phone Number
    • Registered Devices
    • Verified Credentials

Update Personal Information

  1. Navigate to Profile
  2. Tap Edit Profile
  3. Update the following fields:
    • Display Name
    • Contact Information

Add Verified Credentials

Identity Co allows you to store verified credentials for identity proofing:

Scan ID document

Scan your document

  1. Tap Profile > Credentials
  2. Tap Add Credential
  3. Select credential type:
    • Government ID (Driver's License, Passport)
    • Proof of Address
    • Professional Certifications
  4. Follow the verification process
  5. Wait for admin approval (if required)

Manage Trusted Devices

View and manage your devices

  1. Go to Settings > Devices
  2. View all registered devices
  3. To remove a device:
    • Tap the device name
    • Tap Remove Device
    • Confirm removal

Removing a device will require re-registration for authentication.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Active Sessions
  2. View details for each session:
    • Device Type
    • Location
    • Last Activity
  3. Tap End Session to terminate access

Using the App Features

Upload new document

Store and access important documents securely:

  1. Tap Documents in the navigation menu
  2. Tap Upload Document
  3. Select document from your device
  4. Add document details:
    • Document Name
    • Category
    • Expiration Date (optional)
  5. Tap Upload

Supported Formats:

  • PDF (.pdf)
  • Images (.jpg, .png)
  • Microsoft Office (.doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx)

Approve sensitive transactions using your mobile device:

  1. Receive a transaction notification
  2. Open the Identity Co app
  3. Review transaction details:
    • Transaction Type
    • Amount (if applicable)
    • Recipient
    • Timestamp
  4. Verify the information is correct
  5. Tap Sign to approve or Reject to deny

  • Authentication Requests: Login attempts requiring approval

Problem: Registration code not working

Solution:

  1. Verify you entered the code correctly
  2. Check if the code has expired
  3. Contact your administrator for a new code
  4. Ensure you have a stable internet connection

Biometric Authentication Failing

Problem: Face ID or fingerprint not recognized

Solution:

  1. Clean your camera lens or fingerprint sensor
  2. Ensure adequate lighting (for Face ID)
  3. Re-register your biometric data:
    • Go to Settings > Security
    • Tap Update Biometrics
    • Follow the setup process

Not Receiving Push Notifications

Problem: No notifications appearing

Solution:

  1. Check device notification settings
  2. Ensure Identity Co has notification permissions
  3. Verify internet connection
  4. Sign out and sign back in
  5. Reinstall the app if issue persists

App Crashing or Freezing

Problem: App won't open or freezes during use

Solution:

  1. Force close the app
  2. Restart your device
  3. Update to the latest app version
  4. Clear app cache (Settings > Storage)
  5. Reinstall the app

Delete Your Account

To permanently delete your account and data:

  1. Go to Settings > Account
  2. Scroll to bottom and tap Delete Account
  3. Read the warning message
  4. Enter your password to confirm
  5. Tap Permanently Delete
Warning

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All data will be removed within 30 days.

FAQ

Is Identity Co free to use?

Identity Co is provided by your organization. Contact your IT administrator for licensing information.

Can I use Identity Co on multiple devices?

Yes, you can register multiple devices. Each device must be individually registered and verified.

What happens if I lose my phone?

Contact your administrator immediately to suspend your account. You can register a new device once you have access to one.

Does Identity Co work offline?

Some features require internet connectivity. Biometric unlock works offline, but authentication requests require an active connection.

How secure is Identity Co?

Identity Co uses military-grade encryption, biometric authentication, and zero-knowledge architecture to ensure maximum security.

The app automatically checks for updates. To manually update:

  1. Open the App Store
  2. Tap your profile icon
  3. Scroll to Available Updates
  4. Tap Update next to Identity Co
